A Word on Extracts:

In our gummy formulas we use standardized herbal extracts rather than non-extract ‘whole’ herbs. The main reason for this is space. The truth is, there just isn’t a lot of space available in a gummy for the key ingredients. This means that you have to take advantage of the space that is available. Because standardized extracts are generally more potent and are more easily absorbed than non-extract whole plant herbs, they are, in our estimation, perfect for use in gummies given the space limitations. Our goal it is to provide the most efficacious natural supplements that we can.

To be fair, whole plant herbs also have their own benefits over extracts as well. But given the space limitations in gummies, we believe using standardized extracts is a better option for delivering the most efficacious natural supplement possible.

When dealing with extracts, there are different ratios, 5;1, 10:1, 20:1, etc. We spell these ratios out on our labels for each herb.

For example, in this prostate support gummy the amount of saw palmetto in two gummies is 60 mg made from a 10:1 standardized extract. This 60mg of standardized saw palmetto extract is equivalent to 600 mg of non-extract whole herb. This is an example of what we mean when we say standardized extracts are more powerful. It takes less of a standardized extract to equal the same potency of a non-extract whole herb.
